You may want to have ProView use custom palettes for 8 bit display (256 colors.) Choose Project Info under the File menu. The project info dialog will appear. Check the box labeled “Use Custom Palettes”.
The back most picture in a page is the one whose palette is used for the custom palette. You may use the Move To Back command to change the back picture of a page.
NOTE: Using custom palettes causes strange color shifts as you switch between pages. This is especially noticeable when not in full screen mode. The standard system palette is used when this option is not checked. The transitions between pages and the continuity among the pictures and movies on a single page is much smoother in standard mode.
